300C Inspecting and taking samples from vessels (1) A biosecurity officer may conduct a physical inspection of a vessel. (a) take samples of ballast water from the vessel; or (b) direct a person in charge of the vessel to deliver to the biosecurity officer samples of ballast water from the vessel; or (c) arrange for another person, with appropriate qualifications or expertise, to take samples of ballast water from the vessel.
