### sec.355 Evidentiary aids
A certificate purporting to be signed by the chief executive, or a chief executive officer, stating any of the following matters is evidence of the matter—
a stated document is 1 of the following things made, given, issued or kept under this Act—
an appointment, approval or decision;
a notice, direction or requirement;
a permit;
a record or an extract from a record;
a code of practice;
a stated document is another document kept under this Act;
a stated document is a copy of, or an extract from a part of, a thing mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) ;
on a stated day, or during a stated period, a stated person was or was not the holder of a permit;
on a stated day, or during a stated period, a permit—
was or was not in force; or
was or was not subject to a stated condition;
on a stated day a permit was suspended for a stated period, surrendered or cancelled;
on a stated day, or during a stated period, a stated appointment, including a person’s appointment as an authorised officer, was or was not in force for a stated person or thing;
on a stated day—
a stated person was given a stated notice or direction under this Act; or
a stated requirement under this Act was made of a stated person; or
a stated amount is payable under this Act by a stated person.
In a complaint starting a proceeding, a statement that the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge on a stated day is evidence of when the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge.
In a proceeding in which the State or a local government applies under section 358 to recover costs incurred by the State or local government, a certificate by the chief executive for the State or the chief executive officer of the local government stating that stated costs were incurred and the way in which, and purpose for which, they were incurred is evidence of the matters stated.
In this section—
permit means—
a prohibited matter permit; or
a restricted matter permit.

- (e) on a stated day, or during a stated period, a permit— (i) was or was not in force; or (ii) was or was not subject to a stated condition;
- (i) was or was not in force; or
- (ii) was or was not subject to a stated condition;
- (f) on a stated day a permit was suspended for a stated period, surrendered or cancelled;
- (g) on a stated day, or during a stated period, a stated appointment, including a person’s appointment as an authorised officer, was or was not in force for a stated person or thing;
- (h) on a stated day— (i) a stated person was given a stated notice or direction under this Act; or (ii) a stated requirement under this Act was made of a stated person; or (iii) a stated amount is payable under this Act by a stated person.
- (i) a stated person was given a stated notice or direction under this Act; or
- (ii) a stated requirement under this Act was made of a stated person; or
