### sec.188 Special designated animal delivered to restricted agricultural show          
This section applies if—
the special designated animal is fitted with an approved device that includes a microchip; and
the receiver takes delivery of the animal in the receiver’s capacity as an entity that organises or otherwise holds an event that is a restricted agricultural show; and
the animal will remain at the restricted agricultural show only for the period reasonably necessary for the animal’s use in the restricted agricultural show, unless the receiver has a reasonable excuse for keeping the animal at the restricted agricultural show for a longer period.
The receiver must, unless the receiver has a reasonable excuse, within 48 hours after taking delivery of the special designated animal, give the NLIS administrator the prescribed information.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
For changes to the timing for reporting if the receiver becomes a registrable entity on taking delivery, see section 191 .
For exceptions to the reporting requirement under this section, see section 192 .
