### sec.162B Compliance with restricted animal restrictions
A person must not deal with a restricted animal in a way that contravenes a restriction recorded in the biosecurity register under section 162A (2) (b) on dealings with the animal.
Maximum penalty—800 penalty units.
A person does not commit an offence against subsection (1) by using a restricted animal in a way that contravenes a restriction if the person—
did not know, and ought not reasonably to have known, of the existence of the restriction; or
has a reasonable excuse for dealing with the animal in that way.

(sec.162B-ssec.1) A person must not deal with a restricted animal in a way that contravenes a restriction recorded in the biosecurity register under section 162A (2) (b) on dealings with the animal. Maximum penalty—800 penalty units.
(sec.162B-ssec.2) A person does not commit an offence against subsection (1) by using a restricted animal in a way that contravenes a restriction if the person— did not know, and ought not reasonably to have known, of the existence of the restriction; or has a reasonable excuse for dealing with the animal in that way.
- (a) did not know, and ought not reasonably to have known, of the existence of the restriction; or
- (b) has a reasonable excuse for dealing with the animal in that way.
