### sec.136 What is designated biosecurity matter
Designated biosecurity matter is biosecurity matter prescribed under a regulation as designated biosecurity matter.
Biosecurity matter that is any of the following can not be prescribed under subsection (1) as designated biosecurity matter—
a designated animal;
a pathogenic agent that can cause disease;
a disease;
a contaminant.
(sec.136-ssec.1) Designated biosecurity matter is biosecurity matter prescribed under a regulation as designated biosecurity matter.
(sec.136-ssec.2) Biosecurity matter that is any of the following can not be prescribed under subsection (1) as designated biosecurity matter— a designated animal; a pathogenic agent that can cause disease; a disease; a contaminant.
- (a) a designated animal;
- (b) a pathogenic agent that can cause disease;
- (c) a disease;
- (d) a contaminant.
