### sec.34E Protection from liability
This section applies to a person who—
is a member of the community justice group in a defendant’s community; and
is responsible for the making of a submission about the defendant to—
a court under section 15 (1) (f) ; or
a court or a police officer under section 16 (2) (e) .
For subsection (1) (b) , it does not matter that the person did not personally make the submission to the court or the police officer.
The person is not civilly liable for an act done, or an omission made, honestly and without negligence in relation to the making of the submission.

- (b) is responsible for the making of a submission about the defendant to— (i) a court under section 15 (1) (f) ; or (ii) a court or a police officer under section 16 (2) (e) .
- (i) a court under section 15 (1) (f) ; or
- (ii) a court or a police officer under section 16 (2) (e) .
- (i) a court under section 15 (1) (f) ; or
- (ii) a court or a police officer under section 16 (2) (e) .
