### sec.50J Disclosure to police or corrective services officers A designated officer may disclose confidential information if the disclosure is to— a police officer for the purpose of the police officer exercising a power under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 in relation to the person to whom the confidential information relates; or a police officer and the person to whom the confidential information relates is in the custody of police; or a corrective services officer and the person to whom the confidential information relates is in the custody of the chief executive (corrections). See the Corrective Services Act 2006 , section 7 , for when a person is taken to be in the custody the chief executive (corrections).
