### sec.36F Requirements for appointment
Before appointing persons to be members of an RCA team to conduct an RCA of a reportable event, the commissioning authority must be satisfied that—
the persons—
have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to conduct an RCA of the event, having regard to the nature of the event; and
were not directly involved in providing the ambulance service during the provision of which the event happened; and
the conduct by the proposed RCA team of an RCA of the event would be assisted by the provision of immunities and protections provided to persons under divisions 5 and 6 ; and
the potential benefit in disclosing relevant information is outweighed by the potential benefit of restricting disclosure of the information under division 5 .
In this section—
relevant information means information that will be compiled by the proposed RCA team in the conduct of an RCA of the reportable event.

(sec.36F-ssec.1) Before appointing persons to be members of an RCA team to conduct an RCA of a reportable event, the commissioning authority must be satisfied that— the persons— have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to conduct an RCA of the event, having regard to the nature of the event; and were not directly involved in providing the ambulance service during the provision of which the event happened; and the conduct by the proposed RCA team of an RCA of the event would be assisted by the provision of immunities and protections provided to persons under divisions 5 and 6 ; and the potential benefit in disclosing relevant information is outweighed by the potential benefit of restricting disclosure of the information under division 5 .
(sec.36F-ssec.2) In this section— relevant information means information that will be compiled by the proposed RCA team in the conduct of an RCA of the reportable event.
- (a) the persons— (i) have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to conduct an RCA of the event, having regard to the nature of the event; and (ii) were not directly involved in providing the ambulance service during the provision of which the event happened; and
- (i) have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to conduct an RCA of the event, having regard to the nature of the event; and
- (ii) were not directly involved in providing the ambulance service during the provision of which the event happened; and
- (b) the conduct by the proposed RCA team of an RCA of the event would be assisted by the provision of immunities and protections provided to persons under divisions 5 and 6 ; and
- (c) the potential benefit in disclosing relevant information is outweighed by the potential benefit of restricting disclosure of the information under division 5 .
- (i) have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to conduct an RCA of the event, having regard to the nature of the event; and
- (ii) were not directly involved in providing the ambulance service during the provision of which the event happened; and
