### sec.307G Hearing must usually be held in private
A hearing of an adoption proceeding must be held in private.
However, the following are entitled to be present at the proceeding—
each party to the proceeding;
if, under an Act, a party is entitled to be represented by someone else at the proceeding, the party’s representative;
a separate representative representing a child in the proceeding;
a witness while giving evidence;
a support person for a witness, while the witness is giving evidence;
a person allowed to be present by the tribunal.
This section is subject to section 307N (3) and the QCAT Act , section 220 .

(sec.307G-ssec.1) A hearing of an adoption proceeding must be held in private.
(sec.307G-ssec.2) However, the following are entitled to be present at the proceeding— each party to the proceeding; if, under an Act, a party is entitled to be represented by someone else at the proceeding, the party’s representative; a separate representative representing a child in the proceeding; a witness while giving evidence; a support person for a witness, while the witness is giving evidence; a person allowed to be present by the tribunal.

- (a) each party to the proceeding;
- (b) if, under an Act, a party is entitled to be represented by someone else at the proceeding, the party’s representative;

- (f) a person allowed to be present by the tribunal.
