### sec.264 Request by adult relative in place of adopted person This section applies if— the adopted person has died or does not have capacity to ask for information; or the chief executive is satisfied the adopted person can not be located after all reasonable enquiries have been made. An adult relative of the adopted person may make a request under section 263 for pre-adoption information about the adopted person. s 264 amd 2016 No. 57 s 50 (sec.264-ssec.1) This section applies if— the adopted person has died or does not have capacity to ask for information; or the chief executive is satisfied the adopted person can not be located after all reasonable enquiries have been made. (sec.264-ssec.2) An adult relative of the adopted person may make a request under section 263 for pre-adoption information about the adopted person. - (a) the adopted person has died or does not have capacity to ask for information; or - (b) the chief executive is satisfied the adopted person can not be located after all reasonable enquiries have been made.
