### sec.218 Transfer or distribution of property by trustee or personal representative
Subject to this section, a trustee may transfer or distribute property to persons who appear entitled to it without finding out whether or not an adoption has happened because of which a person is or is not entitled to an interest in the property.
A trustee who transfers or distributes property under subsection (1) is not liable to a person claiming directly or indirectly because of an adoption unless the trustee has notice of the claim before the transfer or distribution.
This section does not affect a person’s right to follow property into the hands of a person, other than a purchaser for value, who has received it.
In this section—
notice means written notice or other notice.
trustee includes a personal representative.
