### sec.19 Time of consent
A parent’s consent to the child’s adoption may not be given before the latest of the following days—
the day that is 30 days after the child’s birth;
the day that is 14 days after the parent is given the documents under section 22 ;
the day that is 14 days after the parent is given the prescribed information under section 23 ;
the day that is 14 days after the last day the parent receives counselling under section 24 ;
the day the counsellor swears the statement mentioned in section 175 (3) (b) .

- (a) the day that is 30 days after the child’s birth;
