### sec.182 Application for interim order
The chief executive may apply to the Childrens Court for an interim order for the adoption of the child by the prospective adoptive parents.
The chief executive must serve a copy of the application on the prospective adoptive parents.
The chief executive must give notice of the application to each person who has given consent to the child’s adoption under part 2 .
Subsection (3) does not apply to a person whom the chief executive can not locate after making all reasonable enquiries.
The prospective adoptive parents are respondents in the proceeding.
A person who has given consent to the child’s adoption but wishes to contest the application may apply to the court to be included as a respondent in the proceeding.
