### sec.140 When a person may be re-assessed
This section applies to a person listed in the suitable adoptive parents register.
The chief executive may re-assess the person if—
the chief executive becomes aware of further information about the person or a member of the person’s household, or of a change in the person’s circumstances, that may be relevant to the person’s suitability; or
because of the time that has passed since the person’s assessment, the chief executive considers it would be appropriate to re-assess the person; or
the re-assessment is required to meet the requirements for an intercountry adoption from a country to which the person’s current expression of interest relates; or
the chief executive is considering selecting the person under part 7 as a child’s prospective adoptive parent but considers it would be appropriate to first assess the person’s suitability to be an adoptive parent of a child with particular characteristics.
(sec.140-ssec.1) This section applies to a person listed in the suitable adoptive parents register.
(sec.140-ssec.2) The chief executive may re-assess the person if— the chief executive becomes aware of further information about the person or a member of the person’s household, or of a change in the person’s circumstances, that may be relevant to the person’s suitability; or because of the time that has passed since the person’s assessment, the chief executive considers it would be appropriate to re-assess the person; or the re-assessment is required to meet the requirements for an intercountry adoption from a country to which the person’s current expression of interest relates; or the chief executive is considering selecting the person under part 7 as a child’s prospective adoptive parent but considers it would be appropriate to first assess the person’s suitability to be an adoptive parent of a child with particular characteristics.
- (a) the chief executive becomes aware of further information about the person or a member of the person’s household, or of a change in the person’s circumstances, that may be relevant to the person’s suitability; or
- (b) because of the time that has passed since the person’s assessment, the chief executive considers it would be appropriate to re-assess the person; or
- (c) the re-assessment is required to meet the requirements for an intercountry adoption from a country to which the person’s current expression of interest relates; or
- (d) the chief executive is considering selecting the person under part 7 as a child’s prospective adoptive parent but considers it would be appropriate to first assess the person’s suitability to be an adoptive parent of a child with particular characteristics.
