### sec.127 Adoptive parenting
The chief executive must have regard to the person’s attitudes to, and understanding of, the issues relevant to adoptive parenting, including—
issues about informing a child of the child’s adoption; and
the significance to an adopted child of the child’s birth parents and their families; and
the importance of developing and maintaining relationships with an adopted child’s birth parents and their families, through an open adoption arrangement, so far as this is possible and in the child’s best interests.
