### sec.37 Measurement of distance In applying a pre-2023 provision, distance is to be measured along the shortest road ordinarily used for travelling unless there is a contrary intention that distance is to be measured in a straight line on a horizontal plane or in another way. In applying a post-2023 provision, distance is to be measured in a straight line on a horizontal plane.
