### sec.19 Repealed and amended Acts not revived on repeal of repealing and amending Acts
In this section—
Act includes a provision of an Act.
repeal includes expiry.
If an Act (the first Act ) is repealed by another Act (the other Act ), the first Act is not revived merely because the other Act is repealed.
Act A repeals Act B. Act A is repealed. The repeal of Act A does not revive Act B.
Act A repeals Act B. Act A is automatically repealed under section 22C . The repeal of Act A does not revive Act B.
If an Act (the first Act ) is amended by another Act (the other Act ), the continuing operation of the amendments made by the other Act is not affected merely because the other Act is repealed and, in particular, the first Act is not revived in the form that it was in before the amendments took effect merely because of the repeal.
Act A amends Act B. Act A is repealed after it has commenced by a later Act C. The amendments made by Act A continue to operate, even though Act A has been repealed.
Act A amends Act B. Act A is automatically repealed under section 22C . The amendments made by Act A continue to operate, even though Act A has been repealed.
This section is in addition to, and does not limit, sections 20 and 20A , or any provision of the law by which the repeal is made.
