Sons' involvement in the deregistration
proceedings. He addressed a meeting of the five
builders' labourers on the site and after the
meeting told the site foreman that the labourers
were going home. The labourers left -the site
shortly afterwards, after packing away tools, and
the respondent Bingham then left the site.
The respondent Boyd appeared on behalf of the
Federation before the Arbitration Commission on 8 April,
1982 in a hearing related to the notification by the
Master Builders' Association of Victoria of the
abovementioned events when Federation organizers on 5
April, 1982 called at the company's building sites at
230 Collins Street, Melbourne; Fitzroy North Primary
School and Williamstown Primary School. In a public
hearing in the presence of the representative of the
Master Builders' Association of Victoria and the
company, Mr. Boyd stated that "if that is the way the
employers want to play it, well, we will play it our way
