(2) The Surplus Revenue Act 1908, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Surplus Revenue Act 1908‑1910. 3 — Cesser of the Braddon clause of the Constitution From and after the thirty‑first day of December One thousand nine hundred and ten, section eighty‑seven of the Constitution shall cease to have effect, so far as it affects the power of the Commonwealth to apply any portion of the net revenue of Customs and Excise towards its expenditure, and so far as it affects the payment of any balance by the Commonwealth to the several States, or the application of such balance towards the payment of interest on the debts of the several States taken over by the Commonwealth.
