LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS\n 1. Name of Standard\n 1. This Standard is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 87/00 – Cornering Lamps) 2016.\n 2. This Standard may also be cited as Australian Design Rule 87/00 – Cornering Lamps.\n2. FUNCTION\n 1. The function of this standard is to prescribe photometric requirements for Cornering Lamps, which are used to provide supplementary illumination of that part of the road which is located near the forward corner of the vehicle at the side towards which the vehicle is going to turn.\n3. APPLICABILITY\n 1. The circumstances under which Cornering Lamps are mandatory, optional or prohibited are set out in either ADR 13/…, or 67/… as applicable.\n4. DEFINITIONS\n 1. For vehicle categories, definitions and meanings used in this standard, refer to:\n 1. Definitions in Appendix A of this standard; and where there is no conflict;\n 2. Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule Definitions and Vehicle Categories) 2005.\n5. REQUIREMENTS\n 1. Vehicles subject to the requirements of this standard must comply with the requirements of Appendix A, except as varied by Section 6 Exemptions and Alternative Procedures.\n 2. In place of Regulation No 37 where referenced in Appendix A, read ADR 51/00.\n 3. In place of Regulation No 48 where referenced in Appendix A, read ADR 13/00.\n6. EXEMPTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE PROCEDURES\n 1. Compliance with the following parts, sections and annexes of Appendix A is not required for the purposes of this standard:\n\nSection 1 Scope\n\nSection 2 Application for approval\n\nSection 3 Markings\n\nSection 4 Approval\n\nSection 10 Penalties for non-conformity of production\n\nSection 11 Production definitely discontinued\n\nSection 12 Names and addresses of Technical Services responsible for conducting approval tests, and of Type Approval Authorities\n\nSection 13 Transitional provisions\n\nAnnex 1 Communication\n\nAnnex 2 Examples of arrangements of approval marks\n\n1. ALTERNATIVE STANDARDS\n 1. The technical requirements of the United Nations Regulation No. 119 – UNIFORM PROVISIONS CONCERNING THE APPROVAL OF CORNERING LAMPS FOR POWER-DRIVEN VEHICLES, incorporating the 01 series of amendments, shall be deemed to be equivalent to the technical requirements of this standard.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":4,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The legislation remains tightly focused on its original purpose: specifying photometric (light output) requirements for cornering lamps.
