and\nissuing, for the valuation, a certificate of valuation; or\nthe amount negotiated between the valuer-general and the person who requested the valuation.\nThe person must, if required by the valuer-general, pay a deposit of 92 fee units before the valuer-general makes the valuation.\ns&#160;8 amd 2004 SL&#160;No.&#160;67 s&#160;36 ; or\nschedule&#160;2 , item 4(c) or (e) for searching for particulars contained in an entry on a valuation roll.\nA person is exempt from payment of the fee if—\nthe person is an eligible person under subsection&#160;(3) ; and\nthe entry on the valuation roll relates to—\nland that will be affected by a future act and in relation to which the person is a native title party; or\nland that is, or is proposed to be, the subject of an indigenous land use agreement to which the person is, or proposes to be, a party; or\nland the subject of a compensation application that has been made by or for the person.\nFor subsection&#160;(2) (a) , each of the following is an eligible person—\n1 or more common law holders under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;56 , included in a determination of native title;\na person in a compensation claim group who, under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;251B , is authorised by all of the other persons in the group to make a compensation application;\na registered native title body corporate;\na registered native title claimant;\na representative Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander body.\nIn this section—\ncompensation application means an application for a determination of compensation under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;50 (2) .\ncompensation claim group see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;61 (1) .\nfuture act see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;233 .\nindigenous land use agreement see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;253 .\nnative title party see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;253 .\nregistered native title body corporate see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;253 .\nregistered native title claimant see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;253 .\nrepresentative Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander body see the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) , section&#160;253 .\ns&#160;9A ins 2022 SL&#160;No.&#160;157 s&#160;3\n(sec.9A-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to the fee mentioned in— schedule&#160;2 , item 2(a) for a certified copy of an extract of an entry on a valuation roll;
