This means staff of this government-owned corporation can become members of the CSS — a defined benefit superannuation fund that was the main pension scheme for Australian Government employees at the time.\n\n**Who it affects**\n- **Employees of EFIC**: They become eligible to join the CSS and receive associated retirement benefits\n- **EFIC itself**: The corporation must make employer superannuation contributions to the scheme on behalf of its staff\n\n**Why it matters**\nWithout this Declaration, EFIC employees could not access the CSS. This instrument extends public sector superannuation coverage to staff of this specific government business enterprise, ensuring they receive the same retirement benefits as other Commonwealth employees."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/superannuation-css-approved-authority-declaration-no-7","history":"/api/acts/superannuation-css-approved-authority-declaration-no-7/history","analysis":"/api/acts/superannuation-css-approved-authority-declaration-no-7/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/superannuation-css-approved-authority-declaration-no-7/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/superannuation-css-approved-authority-declaration-no-7/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/superannuation-css-approved-authority-declaration-no-7/documents"}}
