(1) This Act may be cited as the States Grants Act 1974.\n\n(2) The States Grants Act 1973 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.\n\n(3) The States Grants Act 1973, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the States Grants Act 1973-1974.\n\nCommencement\n\n2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.\n\nGrants to states.\n\n3. Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-section (1) the word and figure “section 7”, and substituting the words and figures “sections 6a and 7 ”\n\n4. After section 6 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted: —\n\nAdditional Grants to Tasmania.\n\n“6a.
