Name of Notice\n\nThis Notice is the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2008 (1).\n\n2. Commencement\n\nThis Notice commences on the later of:\n\n(a) 1 July 2008; or\n\n(b) the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.\n\n3. Declaration\n\nFor subsections 28(6A), 49(6B), 50(2B), 66(4B) and 83A(5) of the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992, I specify that the rate per kilometre to apply for the purposes of paragraphs 28(6A)(b), 49(6B)(b), 50(2B)(b) and sub-sections 66(4B) and 83A(5) are those rates specified in column 1 of the Schedule appearing opposite the dates in column 2.\n\n4.
