These old rules set out how much tax businesses and individuals had to pay for licences to operate radio transmitters (the equipment used for TV, radio broadcasts, and telecommunications).\n\n**Who it affects:** Anyone who holds or applies for a transmitter licence—such as radio stations, telecom companies, or emergency services. In practice, this repeal usually happens alongside new replacement rules, so the tax obligation itself likely continues under a simpler, updated regime rather than disappearing entirely.\n\n**Why it matters:** It declutters the law. Instead of checking dozens of old documents to calculate the correct tax, licence holders can rely on current, consolidated regulations."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-transmitter-licence-tax-regulations-repeal","history":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-transmitter-licence-tax-regulations-repeal/history","analysis":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-transmitter-licence-tax-regulations-repeal/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-transmitter-licence-tax-regulations-repeal/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-transmitter-licence-tax-regulations-repeal/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-transmitter-licence-tax-regulations-repeal/documents"}}
