These certificates were essentially licenses or qualifications required to operate certain radio equipment.\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- People who held or needed certificates of proficiency to operate radiocommunications equipment\n- The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and its predecessors, who administered the certificate system\n\n**Why it matters:**\nThis cleans up the statute book by removing outdated technical regulations. It likely means the certificate of proficiency system was either being replaced with a new licensing scheme, consolidated into other regulations, or made obsolete by changes in technology or administrative practice.\n\n**In short:** It deletes old rules about radio operator qualifications."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-certificates-of-proficiency-regulations-repeal","history":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-certificates-of-proficiency-regulations-repeal/history","analysis":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-certificates-of-proficiency-regulations-repeal/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-certificates-of-proficiency-regulations-repeal/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-certificates-of-proficiency-regulations-repeal/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/radiocommunications-certificates-of-proficiency-regulations-repeal/documents"}}
