It does one simple thing: it sets out the official form that must be used when the government appoints someone as an 'inspector' under the Act.\n\n**What it does:**\n- Requires every inspector appointed under section 7 of the Act to carry a formal certificate proving they are authorised to act as an inspector\n- Specifies exactly what the certificate must look like (Form 1 in the Schedule)\n- Requires the certificate to include:\n - A photograph of the inspector\n - The inspector's signature\n - The signature of the Minister (currently the Minister for Commerce and Trade, though the form refers to the older title 'Minister for Industrial Development and Commerce')\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- People appointed as inspectors under the Western Australian Products Symbol Act 1972 (these are officials who check compliance with rules about using the 'Western Australian Products Symbol'—a mark used to promote goods made in WA)\n- The Minister who signs off on these appointments\n\n**Why it matters:**\nIt ensures inspectors can prove their authority when checking businesses or products. Without this certificate, someone claiming to be an inspector might not be taken seriously, or conversely, someone could falsely claim to be an inspector."},"flash_summary_failed":{"failed":true,"reason":"Unauthenticated.
