Under the parent Act, being a \"prescribed organization\" gives these bodies the power to manage, restrict, or organize how their designated products are exported from Australia.\n\n**Who is affected:**\n- **Egg Producers Council** — granted legal authority over all exports of eggs in shell\n- **Australian Apple and Pear Export Council** — granted legal authority over all exports of fresh apples and pears\n\n**Why it matters:**\nThis designation is what gives these councils their legal teeth. Without being officially \"prescribed\" in these regulations, they couldn't enforce rules on how these products are exported, control quality standards, or limit who can export them. This effectively creates a compulsory, centralized control system for these specific commodities."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/primary-produce-export-organization-regulations","history":"/api/acts/primary-produce-export-organization-regulations/history","analysis":"/api/acts/primary-produce-export-organization-regulations/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/primary-produce-export-organization-regulations/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/primary-produce-export-organization-regulations/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/primary-produce-export-organization-regulations/documents"}}
