These Regulations may be cited as the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Exploration Permit Fees) Regulations.\n\nInterpretation\n\n2\\. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:\n\n“the Act” means the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Exploration Permit Fees) Act 1967.\n\nPermit fees—subsection 4 (1) of the Act\n\n3\\. For the purposes of subsection 4(1) of the Act, the fee payable is:\n\n(a) $1,000; or\n\n(b) an amount calculated at a rate of $50 for each block to which the permit relates at the commencement of the year;\n\nwhichever is the greater.\n\n  \nNOTE\n\n1\\.
