No. 24.\n\nREGULATIONS UNDER THE NORTHERN TERRITORY ADMINISTRATION ACT 1910-1947.\\*\n\nI, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Northern Territory (Administration) Act 1910-1947.\n\nDated this twenty-fifth day of February, 1948.\n\nW. McKELL\n\nGovernor-General.\n\nBy His Excellency’s Command,\n\nVICTOR JOHNSON\n\nMinister of State for the Interior.\n\n———\n\nNorthern Territory Legislative Council (Fees and Expenses) Regulations. †\n\nCitation.\n\n1. These Regulations may be cited as the Northern Territory Legislative Council (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.\n\nFees of elected members of Council.\n\n2. An elected member of the Council shall be paid a fee of Three pounds three shillings per day for each day upon which he attends a meeting of the Council.\n\nTravelling expenses.\n\n3.—(1.) An elected member of the Council shall be paid a travelling allowance at the rate of One pound ten shillings per day while absent from his home overnight for the purpose of travelling to Darwin to attend a meeting of the Council and shall be paid the cost of all transport to and from the place of meeting of the Council:\n\nProvided that, where a member is provided with sustenance, any travelling allowance shall not exceed one quarter of the rate prescribed.\n\n(2.) Payment of the cost of transport shall not be made to an elected member of the Council unless the Administrator approves the means of conveyance used by the member.\n\n\\* Notified in the Commonwealth Gazette on 26th February, 1948.\n\nBy Authority: L.
