Andrew Giles\n\nMinister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs\n\n1 Name\n\nThis instrument is the Migration (Specification under clause 485.231—Qualifications) Instrument (LIN 23/023) 2023.\n\n2 Commencement\n\nThis instrument commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.\n\n3 Definitions\n\nIn this instrument:\n\n> Australian Qualification Framework has the meaning provided in the Higher Education Support Act 2003.\n\n4 Specified qualifications\n\nFor the purposes of subclause 485.231(1) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations, each of the following qualifications that are a result of study undertaken at the Australian Qualification Framework level 7 or higher, is specified:\n\n(a) bachelor degree;\n\n(b) bachelor (honours) degree;\n\n(c) masters by coursework degree;\n\n(d) masters by research degree;\n\n(e) masters (extended) degree; or\n\n(f) doctoral degree.\n\n5 Repeal\n\nMigration Regulations 1994 — Qualifications —IMMI 13/013 (F2013L00528) is repealed.\n\n6 Savings and transitional\n\nAnything done under the Migration Regulations 1994 — Qualifications —IMMI 13/013 (F2013L00528) continues to be in effect as if it had been done under this instrument.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2007},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This instrument is a straightforward repeal and replacement of the previous 2013 specification (IMMI 13/013).
