It tells visa applicants (typically those applying for business or investor visas) which State and Territory government securities they must invest in to satisfy immigration financial rules.\n\n**What it does:**\n- **Revokes** the previous list from 2001\n- **Specifies** four approved government bodies whose bonds now qualify as \"designated securities\":\n  1. New South Wales Treasury Corporation\n  2. Queensland Treasury Corporation  \n  3. South Australian Government Financing Authority\n  4. Northern Territory Treasury Corporation\n\n**Why it matters:**\nIf you're applying for a visa that requires holding a designated security (such as certain investor or retirement visas), your money must be invested in bonds issued by one of these four authorities. Investing elsewhere won't count toward your visa requirements."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specifications-of-designated-securities-immi-07-065","history":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specifications-of-designated-securities-immi-07-065/history","analysis":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specifications-of-designated-securities-immi-07-065/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specifications-of-designated-securities-immi-07-065/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specifications-of-designated-securities-immi-07-065/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specifications-of-designated-securities-immi-07-065/documents"}}
