They cannot apply online or hand their forms in at a visa office.\n- The group affected is: citizens of mainland China who are currently located in China or New Zealand, excluding those who hold Hong Kong or Macau Special Administrative Region passports.\n\n**Why it matters**\n- Normally, visa applications can be lodged in several ways. This forces a paper-based submission method for this specific group, which affects where and how they can submit their paperwork.\n- This type of rule is typically used for immigration processing or document integrity purposes."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specification-of-a-class-of-persons-august-2003","history":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specification-of-a-class-of-persons-august-2003/history","analysis":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specification-of-a-class-of-persons-august-2003/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specification-of-a-class-of-persons-august-2003/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specification-of-a-class-of-persons-august-2003/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/migration-regulations-1994-specification-of-a-class-of-persons-august-2003/documents"}}
