The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.2 - 1.9 to this Determination.\n\n(Determined by the Australian Broadcasting Authority on 14 May 1997)\n\nSCHEDULE\n\nThe Schedule sets out:\n\n- the category of each of the services that are to be available in that area (column one),\n- the service licence number which has been allocated to the service, if appropriate (column two); N/A = Not Applicable, as the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 only requires service licences for Commercial and Community services.\n- the number of transmitters required to transmit the service,\n- the transmitter specification number which has been allocated to each transmitter (column three),\n- the identifying number of the attachment where the technical specifications for each transmitter are described (column four). (Each set of technical specifications referred to in the Schedules is an attachment to this determination).\n- the general area served by each transmitter (column five).\n\n \nSCHEDULE ONE\n\nLicence Area Plan - Parkes (Radio) - May 1997\n\nLicence Area: Parkes RA1\n\n| Category ofService | Service Licence No: | Transmitter Specification No: | TechnicalSpecifications | General Area Served by Transmitter |\n| ------------------ | ------------------- | ----------------------------- | ----------------------- | ---------------------------------- |\n| Commercial | SL10253 | TS10004236 | See attachment 1.2 | Parkes/Forbes |\n| Commercial | SL10056 | TS10001424 | See attachment 1.3 | Parkes/Forbes |\n| | | TS10003781 | See attachment 1.4 | Condobolin |\n| Community | SL10055 | TS10001423 | See attachment 1.5 | Parkes/Forbes |\n| | | TS10007181 | See attachment 1.6 | Condobolin |\n| Open Narrowcasting | N/A | TS10001425 | See attachment 1.7 | Parkes/Forbes |\n| National | N/A | TS10003780 | See attachment 1.8 | Condobolin |\n| Open Narrowcasting | N/A | TS10003782 | See attachment 1.9 | Condobolin |\n\n \nATTACHMENT 1.1\n\nLICENCE AREA FOR SERVICE LICENCE NOS: SL10253, SL10056, SL10055 \nCOMMERCIAL AND COMMUNITY RADIO, PARKES RA1\n\nThe licence area, in terms of areas defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics at the Census of 6 August 1991, is:\n\n| Area Description | Persons |\n| ---------------- | ------- |\n| | |\n| Parkes (S) | 13944 |\n| Forbes (S) | 10351 |\n| NSW CD 140103 | 384 |\n| NSW CD 140104 | 240 |\n| NSW CD 140107 | 481 |\n| NSW CD 140204 | 322 |\n| NSW CD 140205 | 141 |\n| NSW CD 140206 | 212 |\n| NSW CD 140207 | 572 |\n| NSW CD 140208 | 294 |\n| NSW CD 030205 | 169 |\n| NSW CD 030303 | 103 |\n| NSW CD 030304 | 183 |\n| NSW CD 030305 | 174 |\n| NSW CD 030401 | 246 |\n| NSW CD 030402 | 523 |\n| NSW CD 030403 | 527 |\n| NSW CD 030404 | 684 |\n| NSW CD 030405 | 449 |\n| NSW CD 030406 | 459 |\n| NSW CD 030407 | 522 |\n| NSW CD 031208 | 271 |\n| | |\n| Total Persons | 31251 |\n\nNote: \nStandard Terminology used by the Australian Bureau of Statistics:\n\n(CD) \\= Collection District\n\n(S) \\= Shire\n\n \nAttachment 1.2\n\nLICENCE AREA PLAN : Parkes\n\nCategory : Commercial\n\nGeneral Area Served : Parkes/Forbes (NSW)\n\nService Licence Number : SL10253\n\nTECHNICAL SPECIFICATION - AM Radio\n\nSpecification Number : TS10004236\n\nTransmitter Site :-\n\nNominal location : Parkes, 5km SE of town\n\nAustralian Map Grid : Zone Easting Northing\n\nReference 55 612496 6329494\n\nSite Tolerance : Refer to Technical Planning Guidelines\n\nEmission :-\n\nFrequency Band & Mode MF-AM\n\nCarrier Frequency : 1404 kHz\n\nOutput Radiation Pattern :-\n\n| Bearing or Sector (Clockwise direction) | Elevation | Maximum CMF |\n| --------------------------------------- | --------- | ----------- |\n| | | |\n| At all angles of azimuth | 0 | 445 V |\n\nNotes:-\n\n1. It prevents radio stations from broadcasting on the same frequency and interfering with each other.
