in that Law.\nNote A definition in an Act applies except so far as the contrary intention\nappears (see Legislation Act, s 155).\n5 Notes\nA note included in the local application provisions of this Application of Heavy Vehicle National Law\nThe Heavy Vehicle National Law set out in the schedule to the\nQueensland Act, as amended from time to time—\n(a) applies as a territory law, as modified by schedule 1; and\n(b) as so applying may be referred to as the Heavy Vehicle National\nLaw (ACT); and\n(c) so applies as if it were part of this Act.\nNote Some chapters of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT) have a delayed\napplication (see this Act, pt 5).\n8 Exclusion of Legislation Act\n(1) The Legislation Act does not apply to the Heavy Vehicle National\nLaw (ACT).\n(2) However, the Legislation Act, chapter 7 (Presentation, amendment\nand disallowance of subordinate laws and disallowable instruments)\napplies to a national regulation as if—\n(a) a reference to a subordinate law
