They also formally approve \"photocopying\" as an acceptable method of making these copies.\n\n**The two certificate options:**\n- **Form 1**: For technical experts who certify that a reproduction was made properly using a specific method (like photocopying)\n- **Form 2**: For anyone who has personally compared the copy against the original and confirmed they match\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- Lawyers and litigants submitting documentary evidence in WA courts\n- Court staff who receive and file evidence\n- Anyone certifying the accuracy of reproduced documents\n\n**Why it matters:**\nCourts normally require original documents as evidence. They require a person certifying a reproduced document to complete the prescribed form(s) (Schedule 1, Forms 1–2) so courts can accept reproductions as evidence. The compliance cost and practical burden fall on the person who prepares or certifies the reproduction; courts and parties rely on those certificates when admitting reproduced documents."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/evidence-admissible-reproductions-regulations-2003","history":"/api/acts/evidence-admissible-reproductions-regulations-2003/history","analysis":"/api/acts/evidence-admissible-reproductions-regulations-2003/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/evidence-admissible-reproductions-regulations-2003/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/evidence-admissible-reproductions-regulations-2003/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/evidence-admissible-reproductions-regulations-2003/documents"}}
