Think of it as clearing away outdated red tape.\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- Electricity retailers selling power to homes and businesses in Western Australia.\n- Ordinary customers — the regulations help ensure you're protected by a modern code of conduct rather than old, potentially outdated rules.\n\n**Why it matters:**\nWithout these regulations, electricity companies might have to follow conflicting rules from different eras. This law tidies up the legal landscape so the code of conduct can work properly, ensuring customers get fair treatment when buying electricity."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/electricity-industry-code-of-conduct-regulations-2005","history":"/api/acts/electricity-industry-code-of-conduct-regulations-2005/history","analysis":"/api/acts/electricity-industry-code-of-conduct-regulations-2005/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/electricity-industry-code-of-conduct-regulations-2005/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/electricity-industry-code-of-conduct-regulations-2005/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/electricity-industry-code-of-conduct-regulations-2005/documents"}}
