No. 96.\n\nREGULATIONS UNDER THE DRIED FRUITS ADVANCES ACT 1924-1926.\n\nI, THE DEPUTY OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth, of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, do hereby make the following Regulations under the Dried Fruits Advances Act 1924-1926, to come into operation forthwith.\n\nDated this eighth day of July, 1926.\n\nSOMERS,\n\nDeputy of the Governor-General.\n\nBy His Excellency’s Command,\n\nT. PATERSON,\n\nMinister of State for Markets and Migration.\n\nDRIED FRUITS ADVANCES (REPAYMENT) REGULATIONS.\n\nShort title\n\n1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dried Fruits Advances (Repayment) Regulations.\n\nDefinitions.\n\n2. In these Regulations unless the contrary intention appears—\n\n“The Act” means the Dried Fruits Advances Act 1924-1926;\n\n“The Board” means the Dried Fruits Advances Repayment Board;\n\n“The Dried Fruits Advances Repayment Board” means the Board appointed under section 10a of the Act.\n\nApplication for release from indebtedness.\n\n3. An application for release under section 10j of the Act shall be in accordance with Form A in the Schedule to these Regulations and shall be made to the Chairman of the Board.\n\nReturn to accompany application.\n\n4. An applicant for release under section 10j of the Act shall furnish to the Chairman of the Board with his application a return in accordance with Form B in the Schedule to these Regulations in respect of each packing organization or export merchant to which or to whom he has delivered dried currants, dried lexias, or dried sultanas, during the years 1924, 1925 and 1926.\n\nApplication and return to be supported by declarations.\n\n5. Each application for release under section 10j of the Act and each return made in pursuance of the last preceding regulation shall be supported by the declaration of the person making the application or return in accordance with the form set out in Form A and Form B, respectively, in the Schedule to these Regulations.\n\nDeclaration by packing organization or export merchant.\n\n6. Each return made in pursuance of regulation four of these Regulations shall be supported by a declaration, in accordance with the form set out in Form B in the Schedule to these Regulations, by the Manager or a director of the packing organization or the export merchant, being a company, or by the export merchant to which or to whom the return relates.\n\nPenalty for false statement in application or return.\n\n7. Any person who wilfully makes any false statement in any application or return under these Regulations shall be guilty of an offence against these Regulations.\n\nPenalty: Fifty pounds or imprisonment for three months.\n\nC.9288.—Price 3d.\n\n \n\nTHE SCHEDULE.\n\nNo. of Application Form A.\n\nCommonwealth of Australia.\n\nDried Fruits Advances Act 1924-1926.\n\nDried Fruits Advances (Repayment) Regulations.\n\nAPPLICATION FOR RELEASE FROM INDEBTEDNESS IN RESPECT OF ADVANCE.\n\nNote.—Any grower who has not received from the proceeds of the sale of his dried fruits produced in the year 1925 an amount sufficient to repay any advance made to him under the “Dried Fruits Advances Act 1924” and provide for the maintenance of himself and family may make application in Form “A” and furnish a return or returns in Form “B” on or before the 1st September, 1926, for release either wholly or in part from his indebtedness in respect of the advance.\n\nThe Chairman,\n\nDried Fruits Advances Repayment Board,\n\nDepartment of Markets and Migration,\n\nV.C.A. Building, Flinders-street, Melbourne.\n\n\\* Strike out the word which is inapplicable.\n\nI hereby make application for release wholly\\*/in part\\* from my indebtedness in respect of the Advance made to me under the Dried Fruits Advances Act, and furnish the following information in support of my application:—\n\nPersonal Particulars (Confidential).\n\nNote.—Regulation 7 of the Dried Fruits Advances (Repayment) Regulations provides as follows:—\n\n“Any person who wilfully makes any false statement in any application or return under these Regulations shall be guilty of an offence against these Regulations.\n\nPenalty: Fifty pounds or imprisonment for three months.\n\n| 1.
