It sets out the exact physical specifications for the coin: it must be at least 99.99% pure gold, weigh 31.103 grams (with a tiny allowable variation), be 38.95mm across and 2.40mm thick, circular in shape with a milled edge. The front (obverse) shows Queen Elizabeth II with her name, 'AUSTRALIA', the year, '$100', and the designer's initials. The back (reverse) depicts a sunrise over water with a bottlenose dolphin in the foreground, plus text identifying the animal and confirming it's 1 ounce of 99.99% fine gold.
