It sets out the rules for **community radio broadcasting** in the Bordertown area of South Australia.\n\n**What it does:**\n- **Allocates one community radio licence** for the Bordertown area\n- **Assigns a specific licence number** (SL010373) to this service\n- **Specifies technical details** for the transmitter (TS005716) needed to broadcast the service\n- **Defines the coverage area** as \"Bordertown\"\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- Community radio broadcasters wanting to operate in Bordertown\n- Listeners in the Bordertown area who want access to community radio\n- The regulator (the Authority) when issuing licences\n\n**Why it matters:**\nThis plan ensures there's **dedicated spectrum** (radio frequency space) reserved for a non-commercial, community-run radio station in this regional South Australian town. Without this plan, there would be no guaranteed slot for local community voices on the airwaves. It sits under the *Broadcasting Services Act 1992*, which is the main law governing radio and TV in Australia."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/community-radio-licence-area-plan-bordertown-radio-august-1996","history":"/api/acts/community-radio-licence-area-plan-bordertown-radio-august-1996/history","analysis":"/api/acts/community-radio-licence-area-plan-bordertown-radio-august-1996/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/community-radio-licence-area-plan-bordertown-radio-august-1996/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/community-radio-licence-area-plan-bordertown-radio-august-1996/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/community-radio-licence-area-plan-bordertown-radio-august-1996/documents"}}
