This Act may be cited as the Coal Industry Act 1955.\n\nCommencement.\n\n2. This Act shall come into operation on a date to be fixed by Proclamation.\n\n  \nProvisions relating to appointment of Francis Heath Gallagher as the person constituting the Coal Industry Tribunal.\n\n3. For the purposes of section thirty of the Coal Industry Act 1946-1952—\n\n(a) the holding by Francis Heath Gallagher, whether before or after the date of commencement of this Act, of office as a member of the Industrial Commission of the State of New South Wales, and the engagement by him, whether before or after that date, in the performance of the duties and functions of that office, shall be deemed not to have been, or to be, engagement by him in paid employment outside the duties of his office as the person appointed to constitute the Coal Industry Tribunal; and\n\n(b) a day on which Francis Heath Gallagher, whether before or after the date of commencement of this Act, performed or performs duties or functions as a member of the Industrial Commission of the State of New South Wales shall be deemed not to have been, or to be, a day on which he absented, or absents, himself from duty as the person appointed to constitute the Coal Industry Tribunal.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2064},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":1,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This legislation was enacted as narrow, personal legislation affecting only the appointment conditions of Francis Heath Gallagher.
