Campbell\n\nExecutive Manager  \nOperations Division\n\n25 July 2014\n\nExemption — take-offs from Lady Elliott Island aerodrome\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on 1 August 2014; and\n\n(b) expires at the end of July 2017, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.\n\n2 Repeal\n\nInstrument CASA EX95/11 is repealed.\n\n3 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to the pilot in command of an aircraft taking off from runway 17 or 35 on Lady Elliott Island, to enable him or her, in case of an engine failure:\n\n(a) to be within safe gliding distance of shallow water; or\n\n(b) to return to the aerodrome.\n\n4 Exemption\n\nThe pilot in command is exempt from compliance with paragraph 166A (2) (f) of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988.\n\n5 Conditions\n\nThe exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 1.\n\nSchedule 1 Conditions\n\n1 The pilot in command must maintain the same track from take-off until the aircraft is at least 300 feet above the terrain.\n\n2 Before commencing take-off, the pilot in command must broadcast, on CTAF frequency 126.7, his or her intention to turn at less than 500 feet.\n\n3 The pilot in command may take off under the exemption only if he or she considers that it is safe to do so.\n\n4 For take-offs under the exemption, the pilot is required to comply with procedures established by Istlecote Pty Ltd, trading as Seair Pacific – Gold Coast, Aviation Reference Number 504606, for such take-offs.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2568},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The instrument maintains a narrow, targeted scope: providing a time-limited operational exemption for a specific remote aerodrome with unique geographical constraints.
