Carmody\\]\n\nShane Carmody\n\nDeputy Chief Executive\n\nStrategy and Support\n\n26 October 2007\n\nExemption — to produce a modification or replacement part\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on 1 November 2007; and\n\n(b) stops having effect at the end of October 2009.\n\n2 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to each person (a manufacturer) who:\n\n(a) produces a modification or replacement part for sale or installation on a type certificated aircraft, aircraft engine or propeller; and\n\n(b) is not otherwise permitted, under subregulation 21.303 (1) of CASR 1998, to produce the modification or replacement part.\n\n3 Exemption\n\nThe manufacturer is exempt from compliance with subregulation 21.303 (1) of CASR 1998.\n\n4 Condition\n\nThe exemption is subject to the condition that, in producing the modification or replacement part, the manufacturer must use a relevant process approved by CASA in accordance with paragraph 21.305 (e) of CASR 1998.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2344},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This instrument remains tightly focused on its original purpose: providing a time-limited, conditional exemption from the production certificate requirement for specific aircraft part manufacturers.
