Gemmell\\]\n\nBruce Gemmell\n\nDeputy Chief Executive and\n\nChief Operating Officer\n\n6 October 2005\n\nExemption — from having training and checking organisation\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on the date after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments; and\n\n(b) stops having effect at the end of 30 September 2008.\n\n2 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to the operator of a single engine aircraft (the aircraft):\n\n(a) with a maximum take-off weight of more than 5 700 kilograms; and\n\n(b) that is employed in aerial work operations; and\n\n(c) that is not employed in ambulance operations; and\n\n(d) if the operator:\n\n(i) does not hold an Air Operator’s Certificate that permits the carriage of passengers in the aircraft; and\n\n(ii) is not specified by CASA under subregulation 217 (1) of CAR 1988.\n\n3 Exemption\n\nThe operator is exempt from compliance with regulation 217 of CAR 1988.\n\n4 Conditions\n\nThe exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 1.\n\nSchedule 1 Conditions\n\n1 The aircraft must:\n\n(a) be used exclusively for aerial work purposes, other than ambulance functions, mentioned in paragraph 206 (1) (a) of the CAR 1988; and\n\n(b) carry only crew members.\n\n2 The operations in which the aircraft is employed must be conducted in accordance with the operator’s operations manual.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2110},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The instrument maintains a narrow, targeted scope limited to heavy single-engine aerial work operators.
