Carmody\\]\n\nShane Carmody  \nActing Director of Aviation Safety and  \nChief Executive Officer\n\n15 August 2007\n\nExemption — ARFFS AFC Diploma\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on the day after it is registered; and\n\n(b) stops having effect at the end of 31 July 2009.\n\n2 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to:\n\n(a) Airservices Australia (AA), an approved Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS) provider in providing firefighting services at aerodromes; and\n\n(b) each shift supervisor at an aerodrome where AA provides ARFFS.\n\n3 Exemption\n\nAA is exempt from compliance with the provisions of subregulation 139.845 (1) of CASR 1998, to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.\n\n> Note Paragraph 18.1.1.10 of Manual of Standards (MOS) Part 139H requires that all shift supervisors on staff of operational fire fighters hold an ARFFS Australian Fire Competencies (AFC) Diploma.\n\n4 Conditions\n\nThe exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 2.\n\nSchedule 1 Extent of exemption\n\nThe exemption extends only to the requirement to comply with paragraph 18.1.1.10 of MOS Part 139H.\n\nSchedule 2 Conditions\n\nAA must ensure that at least 1 shift supervisor, on a staff of operational fire fighters, holds an ARFFS AFC Diploma.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2169},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This is the original instrument as made in 2007.
