Campbell  \nSafety Assurance Senior Manager  \nAviation Group\n\n29 July 2016\n\nExemption — from having training and checking organisation\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on 1 August 2016; and\n\n(b) is repealed at the end of 31 July 2019.\n\n2 Definition\n\nIn this instrument:\n\n> aerial application operation has the meaning given by regulation 137.010 of CASR 1998.\n\n3 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to an operator that operates only single engine aircraft (the aircraft):\n\n(a) with a maximum take-off weight of more than 5 700 kilograms; and\n\n(b) that are employed in aerial application operations.\n\n4 Exemption\n\nThe operator is exempt from compliance with regulation 217 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988.\n\n5 Conditions\n\nThe exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 1.\n\nSchedule 1 Conditions\n\n1 The aircraft must:\n\n(a) be used exclusively for aerial application purposes; and\n\n(b) carry only crew members.\n\n2 The operations in which the aircraft is employed must be conducted in accordance with the operator’s operations manual.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":1516},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The instrument maintains its original narrow scope as a specific exemption for aerial application operators.
