O’Hagan\\]\n\nDanny O’Hagan  \nSection Manager Drafting  \nLegal Division\n\n16 February 2026\n\nCASA EX11/26 — Part 145 Exposition (CAR Maintenance Activities) Exemption 2026\n\n1 Name\n\nThis instrument is CASA EX11/26 — Part 145 Exposition (CAR Maintenance Activities) Exemption 2026.\n\n2 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on 1 March 2026; and\n\n(b) is repealed at the end of 28 February 2029.\n\n3 Definitions\n\n> Note In this instrument, certain terms and expressions have the same meaning as they have in the Civil Aviation Act 1988 and the regulations. These include: CAR maintenance activities, Part 145 Manual of Standards and Part 145 organisation.\n\nIn this instrument:\n\n> Part 145 Assessor Handbook means the Part 145 – Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) Technical Assessor Handbook, published by CASA, as it exists from time to time.\n\n4 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to a person (the applicant):\n\n(a) who has applied to CASA, under regulation 145.025 of CASR, for approval as a Part 145 organisation; and\n\n(b) whose application covers the undertaking of CAR maintenance activities; and\n\n(c) who has an exposition that CASA is satisfied complies with the requirements specified in the Part 145 Assessor Handbook relating to CAR maintenance activities.\n\n> Note 1 Regulation 202.805 of CASR deals with an application under regulation 145.025 of CASR that covers the undertaking of CAR maintenance activities.\n\n> Note 2 As at the commencement of this instrument, Appendix 2 of the Part 145 Assessor Handbook specifies the requirements relating to CAR maintenance activities.
