Boyd\\]\n\nPeter Boyd  \nExecutive Manager  \nStandards Division\n\n15 January 2013\n\nExemption — use of ADS-B in aircraft operated by Hi Fly, Lisbon, Portugal\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on the day after registration; and\n\n(b) stops having effect at the end of 11 December 2013.\n\n2 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to the carriage of compliant Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) equipment by aircraft operated by Hi Fly, of Lisbon, Portugal, (the operator).\n\n3 Exemption\n\nThe operator, and the pilot in command, are exempt from compliance with the technical standards in Appendixes 4 and 5 to Civil Aviation Order 82.5, as they relate to the carriage of compliant ADS-B equipment in an aircraft mentioned in Schedule 1.\n\n4 Conditions\n\nThe exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 2.\n\nSchedule 1 Aircraft\n\n| Aircraft | Model    | Serial no. | Nationality and registration marks |\n| -------- | -------- | ---------- | ---------------------------------- |\n| Airbus   | A340-300 | 117        | CS-TQM                             |\n| Airbus   | A340-300 | 133        | CS-TQL                             |\n\nSchedule 2 Conditions\n\n1 The pilot in command must not indicate ADS-B equipage on the flight plans for any of the aircraft.\n\n2 The operator must provide CASA with a progress report as each aircraft is replaced with an aircraft that is compliant with current ADS-B requirements.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":1902},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The instrument maintains its original narrow scope as a temporary, specific operational exemption for a foreign operator's non-compliant aircraft.
