Campbell\\]\n\nGerard J. Campbell \nExecutive Manager \nOperations Division\n\n19 December 2013\n\nDirection under subregulation 235 (2) relating to landing weight and landing distance required\n\n1 Duration\n\nThis instrument:\n\n(a) commences on the day of registration; and\n\n(b) stops having effect at the end of 30 November 2014, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.\n\n2 Application\n\nThis instrument applies to Jetstar Airways Pty Limited, Aviation Reference Number 510654 (the operator), and pilots employed by the operator, when using the Airbus Operational Landing Distance concept, now referred to by Airbus in the Flight Crew Operations Manual as the in-flight landing distance.\n\n3 Direction\n\nI issue the direction in Schedule 1.\n\nSchedule 1 Direction\n\n1 In this Schedule:\n\n> EFB means electronic flight bag.\n\n> IFLD means the in-flight landing distance which is the actual landing distance required for the actual conditions, aeroplane configuration, runway conditions, and aeroplane system integrity using the deceleration devices planned to be used for the landing. The actual landing distance required is obtained by reference to the IFLD data supplied by the manufacturer either through an approved EFB or the aircraft’s operations manual.\n\n2 Despite subsection 11 of Civil Aviation Order 20.7.1B, when in flight, except in an emergency, pilots employed by the operator must use a landing distance that is 1.15 times the IFLD.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":1924},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The instrument maintains a narrow, targeted scope limited to Jetstar Airways and pilots operating Airbus aircraft using the IFLD concept. For non‑emergency landings they must multiply the IFLD by 1.15 (a 15% safety buffer).
