It makes four specific changes to the **Conciliation and Arbitration Regulations**:\n\n* **Deadlines for evidence:** It introduces a strict **7-day time limit** for parties to submit supporting evidence when they lodge objections in arbitration cases. The same deadline applies when submitting evidence in reply after statutory declarations are filed.\n\n* **Ministerial responsibility:** It transfers oversight of workplace **inspectors** from the Attorney-General to the **Minister for Labour and National Service** (reflecting a shift in which government department handles industrial relations).\n\nThese changes were designed to prevent delays in arbitration proceedings by ensuring evidence is submitted promptly, and to place workplace inspections under the minister directly responsible for labour matters."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/c1951l00064","history":"/api/acts/c1951l00064/history","analysis":"/api/acts/c1951l00064/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/c1951l00064/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/c1951l00064/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/c1951l00064/documents"}}
